“Meet the Maker” Interview
January 2015 ♥ link
It takes a fair amount of confidence matched with humility to take on the often emotional task of crafting someone’s custom wedding dress. When Brooks Ann Camper saw an underserved market for one-of-a-kind bridal gowns that didn’t fit the standard cookie cutter mold, she jumped in with both feet.
She strives to help brides look and feel their best on their big day, and we think there’s no better way to put your talents to use than to make others feel amazing!

Brooks Ann Camper Bridal Couture
Not your average designer, Brooks Ann was in her twenties before she began to sew learning the art from making costumes at a Louisiana theater but once she got the bug she took it and ran! Later earning a Masters in Costume Construction at UNC Chapel Hill which focused on custom pattern making, couture sewing techniques and fashion history. This led her to a wonderful career in the Big Apple making costumes for well known celebrities, the Rockettes and more.
Eventually Brooks Ann longed to design for real people in a smaller apple. She currently resides in Hillsborough, NC. She can take a sketch, a photo or a feeling of what you want to create a beautiful heirloom quality one of a kind wedding gown.
